You may have read my previous post about Interactive Darts at The WonderBar in The Gate, Newcastle. If you did, it’s likely that you thought: “That looks mint, I wanna go.”
But it’s also likely that due to the chaotic nature of the festivities, you just haven’t got round to it.
Well, hopefully you’re lucky enough to get some time off this Christmas, and as it’s the season to spend time with family and friends, interactive darts in Newcastle is the ultimate way to do it.
After my first visit, I knew that I had to go back with my family. They’re big darts fans. And I was very lucky enough to be invited back to The WonderBar to show them what it was all about.
Whilst it’s oodles of fun for a date night, as a couple, playing as a group takes it to another level. You can play against each other individually or split up into teams, or mix it up for each of the five different games available to play.
I’m the least competitive person in the world. It pisses Dan off so much. Especially when I’m not trying and end up winning – like my last stint at casual darts. But amongst family, it got a bit heated. Which, as you can imagine, just made it all the more hilarious.
Sibling rivalry, screams of ‘that boards broken!’ and many, many swear words…
Alongside a brilliant beer selection and some cracking scran – it has everything you need for festive family fun.
If you want to combine it all, there’s a couple of food packages;
The Rookie Pacakage: 2 selected bottles or 2 glasses of wine per person. Plus, a platter of corndogs, jalapeno poppers, crispy chicken fillets, fries, nachos and a garlic bread with cheese for £10pp.
The Pro Package: 4 selected bottles or half a bottle of wine per person. Plus, a platter of corndogs, jalapeno poppers, crispy chicken fillets, fries, pulled pork nachos and two pizzas! All for just £15pp.
And you can just hire the darts for an hour for £30 or £15 in off-peak times.
There’s also a festive fayre menu available that includes a traditional turkey dinner, brockwurst in blankets and christmas pudding. It’s two courses for £10.95 or get 3 for £14.95.
No plans for NYE either? The Love Train is pulling into WonderBar, offering the ultimate disco show with an authentic set and a cast of stellar performers in recreated attire.
Early bird tickets for their New Year’s party or £5 or pay £10 on the door!
And if you do head to The WonderBar over Christmas with your family or a group of friends, take a picture while you’re playing darts, upload it your socials for a chance to win a meal for four- all you need to to is tag in The WonderBar! Easy! Winners will be chosen on the 4th January 2020.
And be sure to let me know if you go, too!
Lots of love, LB x
